Google's research into automated vehicles makes complete sense for me. At a minimum, I spend roughly 2 hours a day, 5 days a week in traffic. Just imagine how much time that adds up to? And not only does Google have one of the most sophisticated mapping systems in the world they've also have been tracking traffic patterns for the last several years.
So what will I be doing if I had my own semi-autonomous car? Probably kickin' back watching something on my future in car Google TV/Radio. Ka-ching for Google Ads. Keep up the good work Google, but remember to keep the car drones off the canyon roads.
